Episode 20 - April 20th, 2006 - Subdrive Selektor: SIMON (Electro)

Simon

Yes, I know...4.20...but I didn't have time to organize a "marijuana" themed episode of Subdrive, though that would have been something wouldn't it? Anyhows, I have a special Subdrive Selektor pick for you all from the excellent SIMON (Sleaze DC, Redux - XM Radio, Just Say Agency). I met up with him at the Winter Music Conference and he passed me this set from his show on XM called Redux. Founder of the infamous 'Sleaze' events, host of "Redux" on XM Radio, this no wave pioneer has been blurring the genre boundaries for nearly a decade, pushing and pioneering the electro house-technowave-nouveau revolution! A true taste-maker, Simon's always two steps ahead of the pack and he's certainly caught on fire! From major remixes and exclusive parties to warehouse raves and super clubs, Simon's unique sound and superior mixing have had an incredible impact on dance floors around the world, and have placed him firmly amongst the US nu-electro elite. Oh, and he's from Washington, DC too.

For more information, mixes, and booking log on to www.djsimon.us.

Upcoming Subdrive Schedule:

May 4th - Two-hour Season Finale with a back-to-back set with Galbis and Xacto

Nightclubs get the whip, but the cabaret law is still kicking

This is the article I was talking about on the show how the clubs in NYC were shut down last week. Check it out!

Bandwidth!

Hey guys, Galbis here. I have to say that since Subdrive started I never imagined it would become so popular. I actually am having bandwidth problems. My site has been shut down twice so far because I have gone over my bandwidth. I am hesistant to put ads because I personally hate them, but if the traffic continues to be a problem I may need to do so. I would love feedback from you all as to what you think. Shoot e-mails to galbis AT gmail.com.

Episode 19 - April 13th, 2006 - Dance Rock Edition

FantomFrequency
FantomFrequency

Back with some fresh dance rock, this time from some unknowns who you may know sooner than you think! First track this week is from Kingston, NY natives FantomFrequency with "All Your Love", sounds like high-paced punk blended with synth-pop. Then Subdrive veterans Infinite Number of Sounds with "Kiss My Converse".

Episode 18 - April 6th, 2006

Galbis is back this week from his two week hiatus with some banging hot new tunes ranging from electro to drum 'n bass. Preview of the new Galbis track, and two indie premieres of Metrocide's "Go East (Konversion Remix)" and La Phaze...a French punglist band. Yea, Punglist...its punk + jungle...similar to Destination Zero. Send me your thoughts and feedback, e-mails on the site!
